So, I signed up, put 499.- bucks on my credit card that is already pretty loaded and now I'm in yet another business, selling communication service to whom??? Hell yeah, how about YOU, are you ready to be introduced to ACN's service plans. I can help you with your home-phone and long-distance calling, it's a painless transition and you wouldn't know the difference, other than you'll be making me a dollar or two a month, same with the wireless plan, are you an AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile, NexTel, or Sprint customer now??? I'll set you up with the same carrier, your same old number, or are you ready to switch your carrier, number or what ever. More likely you'll qualify for a new phone-equipment and off you go. Are you a satellite TV customer and receive service from DIRECT-TV or DISH Network, I can help you set-up an new account, start fresh or switch over. I'm sure there is some savings in there for you too. Need a DSL service, might as well check with me too then with that I have the best offer, a video phone that you can talk and see with friends and family who have the same set-up, you'll love to see that happen, right???
That's NOT it, I can set you up with a home security system and monitoring by ADT or even better become a member of my team and help me helping you making some serious money, I think you get the idea, right!!!
Call me, write me, smoke-signal me do something...
Your independent ACN representative, Rene.

Signing up...
Last Friday I went to Barbara's birthday party that I was invited to. Besides good food, drinks and tons of friends she gave me some magazine to look at and a DVD to watch about some business opportunity , turns out to be a multi-level-marketing scheme and I'm just turning my eyes... not another one of those!!!
I did look at it and curiosity sparked and a dream grew out of this. On Tuesday I watched the movie and get to sense of what it entails, that evening I went with Barbara and Mark to a meeting in Union City. Now those kind of meetings suck, I think, a bunch of well dressed folks getting together and pretend to be somebody, well that's just how I see it. Stuart and I laughed when I told him where I'm going that evening, he goes, "rounding-up the sheep ha???"
Now, I know Barbara through my yoga class for many years, she's working at Kaiser Health What-Should-We-Call it for decades, she and Mark are together for many years and Mark is with this Multilevel Company for almost 10 years, made a connection with a student from Germany many years ago and now travels there many times a year for meetings. He must be doing well, his office near jack London Square in Oakland looks very nice, he owns the whole building and does many more all over the states.
Off we go to Union City and line-up with these sheep. The ranch, a hotel right off the freeway, the herd, is excited and big!!!
But come to find out that there was another meeting going on and by the end when we're all sitting in the one room it wasn't to many. The usual happens, greetings with uplifting music followed by speeches of some successful guy, a team-leader of some sort. Off corse everything is positive, you'd wish some guy stood up and started talking about how he lost all is investment and is still paying through the nose for occurring bills, but no, all one gets to hear is just how easy it is to make more contacts, sell more phone service and all that jazz, be rich by the end of this year... of corse that is all depending on one individuals efforts, whatever that entails.
I was getting restless sitting there and listen to more of this stuff, somehow I felt like this is something I can do, but then again, do i really wanna hang out here in these conference halls of hotels and listening to that glorious talks??? Can I really talk somebody into this, or I'm the only fool who goes for this stuff, I guess we'll have to find out what happens next.
The highlight was when these 2 older afro-american ladies came up front to receive their first pin, of course that's what this is all about too, team-work, present yourself in front of the group. The first lady is working as a baby-sitter since many decades and is ready to something different. Hoping not to change dirty diapers for much longer. The second one is hoping to pay off her mortgage as soon as possible. I do wanna wish them the best, so sweet to see them out there, and hey, they can make this work why wouldn't I make it work????
Loaded with some papers we left and drove back to Oakland, next is to go and celebrate Barbara's birthday. But before that, Mark took me upstairs into his office and we did all the required paperwork, or is it keyboard-work to set me up as a Team-Member. Then Barbara helped me with signing my existing home phone-line over to ACN, a painless process that might safe me a dollar or two, with that I got my first point out of five to qualify as a Team Trainer, in short a TT.
Then we finally deserved to really celebrate, off to Cesar's on Piedmont Ave. for some to bite and slurp on.
Happy Birthday Barbara...
